CORONATION Street fans were left in stitches at Tyrone Dobbs’ OUTRAGEOUS fire safety advice last night.

Alina – who is played by Ruxandra Porojnicu in the ITV soap – was rescued from a horror fire in her flat this week after an arson attack by Hope Stape.

Tyrone was also advised to ‘open the windows’ to get rid of the smell in Alina’s flat

Last night’s episode of Corrie saw a fire crew attend the flat to try and determine the cause of the blaze.

A firefighter told Tyrone he believed the fire must have been caused by a lit candle.

But Tyrone was more concerned about returning to normality and asked: “How do we get rid of the smell? It stinks in there.”

The firefighter replied: “Give it a good airing. Open the windows, spray some air freshener.”

The firefighter’s light-hearted response had fans in stitches, and they flocked to Twitter to throw in their own suggestions.

One said: “Fireman on #corrie told Tyrone to open the windows and spray air freshener to get rid of fire smoke smell. You need to wash the walls.”

Another joked: “‘How do we get rid of the smoke?’ ‘Open the windows.’ Weatherfield fire brigade blinding us with science there #corrie.”

A third chimed in: “And to think the firefighter said ‘open the window and spray some air freshener’ in the flat. I think he needs to be struck off #Corrie.”

Meanwhile, Tyrone tells a suspicious Evelyn that Fiz and Hope have gone to stay with Cilla.

Disaster strikes, however, when Alina hears from Chesney that Cilla is on holiday in Cornwall and realises Tyrone’s story isn’t adding up.

When she sees Fiz and Tyrone letting Alina and Hope into the house, her fears are confirmed and she rings the police to report Fiz.

Later, Tyrone catches Alina in Victoria Garden and tells her it wasn’t Fiz that started the fire – it was Hope.

Will Fiz take the blame for her daughter’s crime?
