CORONATION Street viewers are disgusted with Daniel Osbourne bullying and cheating on his dying wife Sinead Tinker.
The waiter – who is played by actor Rob Mallard in the ITV soap – has been trying to keep Sinead locked up behind closed doors as he struggles to cope with her impending death.
But tonight when he tried to cancel Christmas on the dying mum of one was the final straw for viewers.
Though later in the episode when he cheated on dying Sinead with Bethany Platt in the alley way behind the cobbles was when he truly received the rage from fans.
As Bethany found him raging in the alley she tried to get him calm down and deal with his feelings.
Offering him a shoulder to cry on and a brew at hers, Daniel decided to manipulate her feelings towards him instead.
He told her: “That’s a bit flipping forward don’t you think? Don’t you know I’ve got a dying wife. You know that you’ve just done her makeup. You going to be around to do it afterwards or are we going to have to get the funeral home to do that?
“Don’t try and be nice. This is on me, she’s the one who’s dying and I’m making it worse.”
A devastated Daniel kept beating himself up about what was happening so to try and help him, Bethany opened up about her own trauma.
She said: “There’s no right thing to say, is there. Believe me I know how it feels. With Nathan there was no right thing then. But you have to let people try because occasionally it does get better.
You supporting me made me feel better, like I wasn’t just that girl who got abused by those men. It made me feel like I was worth something.”
But as Daniel continued to cry, Bethany gave him a hug and the pair soon began kissing and were caught by an enraged Ken who ordered Daniel home and shouted at both of them.
Daniel admitted he manipulated Bewthany but insisted he just wanted to feel something that wasn’t grief, but that was cold comfort for fans.
