CORONATION Street viewers were left stunned as Ken Barlow appeared to swear at Norris Cole during a conversation at their residential home.

Fans of the ITV soap took couldn’t quite believe it after the retired teacher said the word “b******s” on tonight’s episode.

The pair were having a heart to heart when Ken asked Norris why he hadn’t told Freda that he was unhappy at the Still Waters retirement village.

Ken said: “How do you feel about this place?”

Norris replied: “Well, she loves it here.”

Ken added: “You think it’s a load of b******s.”

One wrote: ‘Sorry ken, wha- what did you just say ??’

The moment left viewers in hysterics, with one writing: “#corrie did Ken just reference a mans dangly bits in the rudest terms?#CoronationStreet.”

Another said: “Now I know the world’s lost it .. Ken Barlow just said B****x #coronationstreet.”

A third viewer added: “Sorry ken, wha- what did you just say ?? #coronationstreet #corrie.”

A fourth added: “Did Ken just say “load of b******s” @itvcorrie Made me laugh out loud after a rather gloomy few weeks!”

The character – who is played by actor Bill Roache – recently decided to leave the cobbles for the first time in his 80 years living there.

He has moved into a luxury retirement flat with Claudia Colby after agreeing to sell the house to daughter Tracy and her husband Steve.

He is the only remaining character from the first episode of the soap that will celebrate its 60th anniversary in December.
