CORONATION Street fans think Geoff Metcalfe’s sinister network of spy cameras will be his downfall – predicting they will be used to prove Yasmeen isn’t to blame for stabbing him.
Viewers were horrified on Friday night when the monster advanced on his poor wife with a knife, causing her to attack him with a wine bottle before plunging the jagged end into his neck.
Geoff fired up the camera network on Wednesday night’s episode when Yasmeen tried to make a run for it, clocking that she was hiding a getaway bag in the downstairs cupboard by the kitchen.
That cased many to suspect the same cameras could have captured the dramatic scenes on Friday night’s trip to Weatherfield, which saw Yasmeen suffer a horrific tirade of abuse – before being menaced with a knife.
One viewer: “The thing is if the police find the secret camera Geoff might have been recording everything and they will have all the evidence they need against him.”
Another agreed: “Yes I think Geoff’s video recordings will catch him out.”
A third wrote: “I reckon he’ll survive and spin lots of nonsense about her and then they’ll find the cameras/footage.”
It is not yet known what kind of injuries Geoff has sustained – or even if the attack will finally see the end of the nightmare husband after months of merciless abuse.
The poisonous pensioner has killed Yasmeen’s chicken, given her an STD from his sleeping with prostitutes and plundered her family fortune to hand over for his own son’s wedding.
