CORONATION Street’s Asha Alahan’s life is set to be turned upside down when a racy video of her is leaked on the internet.
The upcoming harrowing storyline sees Asha, one of the Cobble’s favourite teens, attempting to impress new boyfriend Corey with a striptease that ends up online.
The fallout of the leaked footage causes the 16-year-old character’s self-esteem to plummet when her peers see it.
Tanisha Gorey, who plays Asha, told The Mirror of the plot: “It completely crumbles her, destroys her reputation, everything, people in the Street have seen her strip.
“Everyone has seen it and is talking about it. She is bullied at school, ends up moving school. Walking down to Roy’s Rolls, everyone is talking about Asha.
“At a school litter pick they are watching the video and they see me with my clothes off. So it is very personal. It is a bit like trolling they are participating in this act.”
