CORONATION Street favourite Bethany Platt bids farewell to the cobbles as she leaves for a magazine internship in London.
But Beth is raging when she discovers Bethany is planning on leaving with Daniel and Bertie in tow.
Corrie fans will know that Bethany has been providing Daniel with some solace in the wake of his late wife Sinead’s battle with cancer and death.
And with Daniel helping Bethany investigate Ray recently, viewers have watched the pair have grown even closer.
After Bethany published her article online exposing the hurt Ray has caused various women over the years, Daniel and Bethany kissed.
But little did they know that Beth was within earshot.
She then raged at them for disrespecting Sineads memory and flirting while her corpse was still warm.
But Daniel couldn’t fight his feelings andpublicly announced that he and Bethany are in an official relationship to everyone in The Rovers.
In an upcoming episode, Bethany tells Sarah that Ray is blocking her attempts to get other restaurant jobs.
Sarah offers her a role setting up Underworlds sales arm.
A timid Bethany asks for Daniels blessing to work at the factory – the place where Sinead worked.
Daniel insists its fine and they share a kiss.
But Beth is less understanding, and accuses Bethany of trying to steal Sineads life.
Bethany struggles to work alongside Beth and receives another blow when she gets a letter of rejection from the college she applied to for a creative writing course.
She tells Sarah that the admissions officer rang and offered her an internship at a magazine instead.
Sarahs enthusiastic but Bethany is less keen, pointing out its in London and that she’d have to leave Daniel.
Sarah tells Bethany not to let a boy stand in the way of her career.
Adam then lets slip that Bethany has rejected a job in London – what will Daniel do?
Later in the week, Beth bursts into Sarah’s hen do raging and announces Bethanys plan to run off to London with Daniel and Bertie.
Will Beth prevent Daniel from following his heart?
Lucy Fallon – who plays Bethany on the ITV soap – announced plans to leave the soap in May last year.
The stair filmed her last scenes last month and will remain on our screens for several weeks until her exit airs in March.
