Ken’s delighted to hear the retreat has helped Daniel to grieve

Corrie viewers watched Daniel do his best to cope after Sinead lost her battle to cancer.

But a string of unfortunate events left Ken, Peter and Tracy convinced that an intervention was needed to help get Daniel back on his feet.

His family were shocked when Daniel became obsessed with watching videos of Sinead she’d recorded for their baby Bertie on his laptop, leading to a meltdown when the gadget was stolen.

Daniel’s world came crashing down when he lost his wife Sinead

The grieving young man then moved on to a relationship with Bethany, who he’d even kissed while Sinead was still on her deathbed.

Beth was quick to accuse Daniel of disrespecting Sinead’s memory by jumping into bed with Bethany.

And things then came to an explosive head when Daniel proposed to Bethany using Sinead’s ring.

Bethany dumped Daniel when she realised he wasn’t over late Sinead

The proposal led to Bethany realising that Daniel wasn’t over Sinead after all and leaving for London.

Ken, Peter and Tracy then sent Daniel to the retreat in Scotland in the hope that it would get him back to his normal self.

Viewers recently watched Tracy and Steve take a break away from the cobbles to visit Daniel.

And next week’s episodes of Coronation Street will see Daniel return from his grief retreat.

The upcoming scenes will see Ken delighted when Daniel tells him it’s been a very positive experience.

But will Daniel have finally come to terms with losing Sinead?

And with Ken just having lost his beloved pet Eccles, could the situation prove too much for Daniel?
