CORONATION Street’s Maria Connor cheats on Gary Windass with her ex Ali Neeson next week.
The hairdresser – who is played by actress Samia Longchambon in the ITV soap – will be driven back into the arms of the doctor after becoming suspicious that Gary is up to his dodgy dealings again.
After her heartbreaking miscarriage last week, Maria throws herself into raising awareness of the MMR jab so no-one else goes through what she went through.
And while Gary is thrilled she’s being so positive, Ali advises Maria that although its great that shes raising measles awareness, she should allow herself to grieve properly for the baby she lost.
Later hearing about David Platt’s car being a write-off and knowing he needs to get to Leeds to visit Shona, Maria offers David her and Gary’s new car, and he reluctantly agrees.
Gary then decides it’s time to propose and throws some money at Ryan and tells him to go and buy an engagement ring for Maria.
Planning his surprise proposal Gary tells Maria he has booked her in for a manicure.
But as the day goes on her suspicions about Gary grow as first Ryan is shifty about a parcel he has for Gary – the engagement ring – and then she spots Gary having a heated exchange with Ike which results in Gary handing over money.
Ali finds an upset Maria in the barbers and she vices her suspicions about Gary which Ali laps up.
As he admits he never stopped loving her, the pair kiss passionately.
A guilty Maria returns to the flat and confronts Gary about his shady dealings.
But when both Ike and Ryan back him up and explain that his money to Ike was a gift and the parcel Ryan had was an engagement ring she starts to realise she has made a huge mistake.
And with Ali wandering Weatherfield convinced he and Maria are an item once more, the stage is set for some serious drama in the coming weeks.
