Alya decides to sell her share of Speed Daal to avoid Geoff

The storyline came to an explosive head as Yasmeen was arrested for the attempted murder of Geoff after he launched at her with a knife.

Having convinced everyone he was the victim of Yasmeen’s alcoholism, things weren’t looking so great for Yasmeen as she was locked away.

But more recently the women of Weatherfield have started turning against Geoff one by one.

The arrival of Geoff’s ex Elaine, who fled an abusive marriage to Geoff back in the late 1960s after she was left fearing for her life, looked set to secure Geoff’s downfall as she agreed to give evidence against the brute.

Yasmeen admits to Alya that she feels safer in prison while Geoff is still around

But next week’s episodes of Corrie will see Alya visit Yasmeen in hospital and tell her about Elaine’s mystery disappearance.

Alya goes on to say that she and Sally suspect Geoff is behind it and that she’s worried about Elaine.

Yasmeen looks terrified and admits that she feels safer in prison that she does anywhere near Geoff.

Later, Sally suggests that Alya should buy Geoff out and offers her the wedding money.

When Alya refuses to take it, Sally points out that it was rightfully Yasmeen’s money anyway.

The burning question is: will Elaine reappear or has Geoff got rid of her for good?
