CORONATION Street viewers broke down in tears as Daniel Osbourne gave an emotional wedding speech about his late wife Sinead tonight.

The bereaved dad – who is played by actor Rob Mallard in the ITV soap – was best man for his nephew Adam Barlow at his wedding to Sarah Platt.

And while giving his best man’s speech, it was clear he was focusing on his late wife Sinead instead of anyone else – and certainly not his girlfriend Bethany Platt.

Viewers couldn’t help but notice Bethany becoming more and more uncomfortable as Daniel began reading out a love letter between an artist and his wife to Adam and Sarah.

He read, his voice cracking: “In your last letter I hear a little cry as if you are tired of being alone.

“Well Margaret I have hated being alone all the time. Nothing is the same when you’re not here.

Sinead’s death had fans in pieces

“Everything has a flatness. I feel as if I’m waiting for something for some time, and that’s true. I’m waiting for you.”

The crowd cheered their support as he tried to get through it but it was clear Bethany wasn’t coping.

He ended the speech telling Adam and Sarah: “That inspirational, enduring love is what you deserve and I’m so glad you can give it to each other.”

Fans broke down in tears at the emotional scenes coming so soon after Sinead’s death from cervical cancer.

One wrote: “Awww dont make me cry Daniel..”

A second said: “Daniel well done”

Another added: “Aww poor Daniel”
