CORONATION Street’s Andy Whyment has not let a cancelled holiday dampen his spirits, jumping into his hot tub with a beer.
Andy, 39, and his wife, Nichola, were supposed to be on a sunny holiday to the west African country of Cape Verde.
But due to changes in the restrictions around coronavirus, the couple had to cancel their plans and settle for a soak in the tub.
Andy who plays Kirk on the ITV soap shared a cute snap of the pair drinking bottled beer in the hot tub.
He captioned the Instagram post: “We should’ve flown out to Cape Verde this morning for some sunshine but instead we’re at home with snow at least we’ve got a nice Hot Tub to enjoy though and a beer so me and @nicski31 can’t complain too much xx”
Andy’s fans loved his positive attitude and many admitted they were making the most of their own hot tubs.
One Instagram user wrote: “[Sic] Rubbish isnt, we had to cancel our holiday, have fun in the hot tub”
Another added: “Haha enjoying life mate! Enjoy it!”
A third said: “Snow and hot tub, It can’t be any better ”
Andy has played the delivery driver for Underworld since 2000 and whose character has been involved in a number of big storylines including getting married to Beth Tinker, being Buzzy Bee the mascot for Weatherfield’s football team and even tried a career in singing.
The star met wife Nichola Willis, 32, in 2005 and tied the knot two years later.
The happy couple share two kids together – 12-year-old Thomas and 10-year-old Hollie – and live in their gorgeous Manchester home.
Nichola, Hollie and Thomas were Andy’s biggest fans when he jetted off to Australia to take part in I’m A Celebrity 2019 and the show turned him into a huge hit.
The Corrie star narrowly missed out on being crowned King of the Jungle to Jacqueline Jossa, but still had his head held high walking out in second place.
Over the past year during lockdown he’s kept fans entertained with his hilarious social media content.
He’s shown off his rhythm in a number of hilarious dance videos with his family and his two children recently treated their parents to a cheeky Nandos out of their pocket money.
