“Everyone has seen it and is talking about it. She is bullied at school, ends up moving school. Walking down to Roy’s Rolls, everyone is talking about Asha.

“At a school litter pick they are watching the video and they see me with my clothes off. So it is very personal. It is a bit like trolling they are participating in this act.”

Tanisha hints at wider repercussions when Asha’s father, Dev, played by Jimmi Harkishin, finds out.

Although the local shopkeeper “has the best intentions” as her father, Tanisha admitted he is “mortified”and begins “screaming” until he realises how the scandal is affecting her.

News of the upcoming plot comes as ITV has suspended filming of Coronation Street and Emmerdale amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Despite efforts to remain onscreen until the summer, channel bosses took the decision to pull production.

Although filming has halted due to coronavirus, fans can still watch a reduced number of episodes until filming resumes.
