CORRIE’S Catherine Tyldesley looks worlds away from her onscreen character Eva Price on the set of new ITV thriller Viewpoint.

The actress was seen in Manchester filming until the early hours of the morning in the rain.

Having ditched her trademark long blonde tresses for dark brunette wavy locks, the Catherine, 36, looked a world away from Cobbles barmaid Eva Price.

Earlier this week former Hollyoaks star Bronagh Waugh was also pictured on set of the new ITV thriller, alongside lead actor Noel Clarke.

Bronagh, 37 and Noel, 44, looked in good spirits as they chatted on set, and other pictures showed a dramatic fight scene which took place on the city streets.

Clarke will play surveillance detective DC Martin King, who sets up his observation post in the home of Zoe Sterling (Alexandra Roach), a single mum and secret voyeur.

By doing this, he is able to get a good view of the home of missing primary school teacher Gemma Hillman (Amy Wren), who she shares with boyfriend Greg Sullivan (Fehinti Balogun), who happens to be at the top of the suspect list.

ITV has described their new project as “a contemporary, character-driven mystery with a seductively intimate feel” that mines the “paranoid hinterland of Rear Window and The Lives of Others”.

The gripping five-part drama follows a tense surveillance investigation into a tight knit community and explores whether it is ever possible to observe the lives of others with true objectivity and zero effect.

The show is based on an idea pitched by Killing Eve and Fleabag director Harry Bradbeer and is co-created and written by Safehouse’s Ed Whitmore.

Noel, Bronagh and Catherine are part of a star-studded cast that includes the likes Sarah Niles (Trust Me), former EastEnders actress Shannon Murray and Phil Davis from Poldark.

Ian Puleston-Davies (Pennyworth), Dominic Allburn (Jack Irish: Dead Point), Marcus Garvey (Broadchurch), Carlyss Peer (The Feed) and Erin Shanagher (The Bay) will also star in the drama.

Executive producer Lucy Bedford said they are very thrilled to be back filming.

With production on Viewpoint now underway, it becomes the first ITV drama to begin filming since the lockdown.
