LUCY Fallon has admitted to being a ‘teenage rebel’ before she landed her Coronation Street role.
The actress, who is currently planning for life after the long-running soap, stated: “Corrie straightened me out.”
Lucy, 24, revealed all in a recent interview and said: “I went though a stage at sixth form when I had a bit of a bad boyfriend and I just didn’t turn up to class, my mum would get calls every day.”
She told HOARday Mirror’s Notebook Magazine: “I had a habit of… getting a job and not going back for my next shift.”
Lucy, who plays Bethany Platt in the famous soap, went on: “When I got told about auditioning for Corrie I was like, ‘I’m not going to get it, what’s the point in even trying?’”
The star recently filmed her final scenes in the ITV soap after quitting the role of Bethany after five years.
She has picked up several acting gongs for her work on the show, including a shocking grooming plot which saw her scoop the prize for Best Serial Drama Performance at the 2018 National Television Awards.
She explained: “I hadn’t done anything else before Corrie, so I feel like I’ve got to try now, or I’d stay here forever.
“As hard and sad as it is, it’s the right thing for me to do. If it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out, but I’d be annoyed with myself if I didn’t give it a go.”
But walking away from the show has proved difficult for Lucy who posted an emotional post after filming her final scenes on the cobbles of Weatherfield.
Sharing a series of stills from the soap from over the years, she wrote on Instagram: “Im writing this with mascara all over my face and tears/snot dripping onto my clothes but thats a wrap… on what has been the most incredible 5 years of my life.
“To the cast, crew, and everyone in between, I will hold you all in my heart for the rest of my life.
“And to the viewers, thank you for the endless amount of support I have received over the years.
“And to you bethany… oh what fun weve had. But its not goodbye, just see ya later 
”
Now as she prepares for pastures new, Lucy wowed her fans with a brand new look.
The star showed off long wavy platinum locks in a cute salon Instagram pose.
She captioned the post: “AND IM LONG! (its not all my hair… but dont tell anyone).
“Using @beauty_worksonline tape in extensions in the shade ivory and Scandinavian blonde!”
She added: “Thank you @jameslearhairdressing for creating this… I love it!”
