CORONATION Street star Maureen Lipman fears she spread coronavirus to her castmates.
The 74-year-old, who plays Evelyn Plummer, said: “I had a fortnight’s persistent cough, with attached fatigue and sweats.
“If I did have it, then I flung my viral breath cheerfully around the corner shop at anyone who popped in.”
Corrie suspended filming in March but is set to start again next month, along with other popular soaps.
Episodes are being rewritten for social distancing. There will be more scenes outside in green spaces to minimise risk.
No10 thinks it is crucial for morale that favourite shows continue.
Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden said: “I’m keen to get cameras rolling as soon as it is safe to do so.”
All cast must stay two metres apart or stand “side by side or facing away from each other”.
Stars must do their own make-up and everyone will take their own crockery to work.
