STRICTLY Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has backed Kelvin Fletcher to take the Glitter Ball title – yet admits Michelle Visage is hot on his heels.
The sharp-tongued star had kind words for the Emmerdale actor, paired with Oti Mabuse, who was a late addition to the line-up to replace injured Jamie Laing.
In a chat with Radio Times, Craig said: “If he reaches the final and dances the salsa, then I can definitely see him lifting the Glitterball trophy.
“Plus hes loved by the nation.
“If he can get some swing and sway into his ballroom, I think hell definitely be up to getting to the final.”
Yet despite Kelvin’s sizzling moves, last week showcased in a Viennese Waltz, Craig admitted he had been most impressed by RU Paul star Michelle.
He added: “I didnt think that shed be as good as she is.
“Shes got everything the talent, the ability, the musicality.
“They all want to win. Its quite competitive, and theyre all applying themselves like you would not believe.”
Sun Online reported earlier today how Craig has dubbed Strictly’s infamous relationship curse “delightful” and the foundation for loving relationships.
Meanwhile, Kelvin and Oti took a hit last week as the South African professional was spotted getting teary in their feedback.
Fans spotted her with tears in her eyes as head judge Shirley Ballas pointed out a lack of “rise and fall” in the routine.
Yet Oti later took to her Twitter page to praise Shirley’s comments as “honest.”
She also told how her sobbing was in fact “happy tears.”
