DANNY Dyers mum has asked him to kill her if she gets dementia.
According to the Mirror, Christina who is mum to the EastEnders actor, Kayleigh and Tony, said: [Its] such a cruel condition.
My mother-in-law has vascular dementia. I have told my kids to put a pillow over my face if it happens to me.
I am petrified that somewhere inside, you know whats happening.
She also shared a poem called When I Wander and said: Oh my god! This is wonderful. It could be describing my mother-in-laws long journey into dementia. F*** dementia.
Vascular dementia is the second mostcommon type of dementiain the UK afterAlzheimer’s disease, where the brain is damaged due to a lack of blood flow.
If the vascular system within the brain becomes damaged – so that the blood vessels leak or become blocked – then blood cannot reach the brain cells and they will eventually die.
This death of brain cells can cause problems with memory, thinking or reasoning, and when these cognitive problems are bad enough to impact on daily life, it is known as vascular dementia.
