Is Mel Owen going to die in Eastenders?

Recent images teased that Mel and Sharons feud would come to a head as an explosive car chase this month.

Mel Owen – played by Tamzin Outhwaite – has been busy blackmailing Sharon, after finding out she is secretly carrying toy boy Keanu Taylors baby.

Desperate to get revenge on the Mitchells, the businesswomans schemes will start to spiral out of control when she throws a joint party for Sharon and her step-daughter Louise – who is also pregnant.

Although Sharon has threatened to expose Mel’s secret about Hunter, her enemy continues to hatch her plan – to expose the truth.

Desperate to keep her secret, Sharon sneaks out of the party to meet Phil at the airport, who is heading back to the country after discovering that his wife plans to sell the E20 to Ruby Allen.

But Mel catches on and is soon in close pursuit to go head to head with Sharon.

The businesswoman is on the warpath as she calls on Billy to organise a big microphone announcement for all the party-goers but it seems her deadly ways come back to bite her.

And when the race against time comes to a head, a van sends Mels car spiralling into the air.

Sharon will go to great lengths to stop her betrayal coming to light – but how far will she go to silence Mel?

EastEnders bosses haven’t yet revealed if Mel will die as a result of the crash, but fans will be finding out in a matter of weeks.

Has Tamzin Outhwaite said shes leaving?

Eastenders fans were devastated when Tamzin Outhwaite announced she was quitting the show in July.

And the 48-year-old actress shared a tweet in September after filming her final scenes, writing: “So thats it! The end of an era… for me at least. Melanie Healy/Beale/Owen has left the building

“Its been a pleasure , a privilege and a 21 year association with a family I will cherish forever and never forget….TIL next time my beautiful cast and crew… you all rock.”
