EASTENDERS actress Louisa Lytton has teased a huge New Year storyline as Lacey Turner returns from maternity leave.

The 30-year-old actress – who plays Ruby Allen in the BBC soap – has revealed exciting comeback plans are already in place for Lacey’s character.

Louisa Lytton has teased fans about a future EastEnders plot

Stacey Slater fled from Walford with her husband Martin after attacking Phil Mitchell with a wrench.

She briefly returned last week for a one-off episode, slapping husband Martin and calling him a “b*****d” after telling her he slept with Sonia.

Speaking to The Sun Online at the Pride of Britain awards, Louisa said: “I don’t know what I can say…

“There is a big storyline coming up next year.

Louise says Lacey’s return is going to be ‘juicy’

“Lacey Turner is back from maternity leave so things are going to get very juicy, but I can’t say anything else.”

She added:“I’m not being killed off… so that’s a good thing.”

Louisa first starred in EastEnders back in 2005 before returning in September 2018.

The actress said: “I was there as a child and when I came back 15 years later it still felt like the family I left behind.

Lacey returned to EastEnders last year

“I love it there. It’s a great job to have and everyone is so supportive.”

Her co-star Lacey has been off for maternity leave after giving birth to her baby daughter Dusty Violet.

She welcomed her first daughter with husband Matt Kay after suffering two tragic miscarriages before.

Her on-screen husband Martin broke down earlier this week after lying to Stacey about his romp with Sonia.

He made up the fling to keep her safe after being blackmailed by evil Ben Mitchell who said he’d kill Stacey and the children if they came back to Albert Square.
