EASTENDERS fans are predicting trouble for Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway after new bar manager Lewis flirted with them.

The newcomer – who is played by actor Aidan O’Callaghan in the BBC soap – was introduced tonight as Kathy’s new bar manager for The Albert.

He soon met Ben and Callum and began flirting with both of them.

Lewis even tried to get the pair to take him on a night out so they could all get to know each other better, but Ben wasn’t up for it.

Instead he was too busy being uncomfortable about Callum being offered the chance to front a major LGBTQ+ recruitment campaign for the police.

And fans think his reluctance and Lewis’ introduction spells bad news for the couple.

Viewers know Ben has been struggling for a while since Callum was attacked in a homophobic assault.

It brought back memories of his murdered boyfriend Paul Coker.

But the pair seemed to be back in the swing of things until tonight.

And now viewers are all saying the same thing in predicting the trouble.

One wrote:  “Ben doesn’t like Callum being hit on by other men #eastenders #ballum.”

A second said: “I know angst is incoming but Callum looks so happy for a moment and it’s lovely to see… Oh Ben, what is to come! #ballum.”

Another added:  “This Ben+Callum stuff is yet again going to be a rinse+repeat of them threatening to split up but still get back together! It really is the LGBT version of Mick+Naggy L.”

Irish actor Aidan is no stranger to soap life, meanwhile, having appeared in Emmerdale as a character called Mike in 2018.

Along with his EastEnders role, Aidan is also set to appear alongside Hollywood actress Michelle Yeoh and legendary comic actor Lenny Henry in the new prequel series to The Witcher.

He previously starred in Sky drama Wolfe and popular thriller The Rook.
