EASTENDERS fans were left disgusted tonight after Ian Beale threw his son Bobby out after he was set up on terrorism charges.
The businessman – who is played by actor Adam Woodyatt in the ITV soap – said he didn’t know if he could love Bobby after he killed his sister Lucy.
He worried about Bobby being broken for good after police arrived at the house and accused Bobby of looking up Islamic extremism materials.
Viewers know Dennis Mitchell was to blame, determined to get rid of Bobby after his mum Sharon was defended by him the week before.
“That’s what worries me. What if deep down inside he’s just twisted? You hear about people like that don’t you – serial killers, murderers, people who are so damaged deep down that they can’t be put write. How can I love someone like that?”
Horrifically for Bobby, he walked in with Kathy and Max just as Ian was giving his speech on being unable to love his son.
Bobby let rip at Ian for not supporting him on the day of his conversion, telling him: “All I’ve done is try to be good and fit back in but you’ve blocked me at every turn. Today meant so much to me and you couldn’t even be bothered.
“Max has been more of a father to me than you ever were.”
But that was the final straw for Ian who raged at his son.
He shouted: “More of a father? Do you know what i’ve had to put up with from you. I haven’t got a list just one thing. You killed my little girl.
“For years I have tried to convince myself that it was me that I was wrong that I brought you up wrong that I messed up but no you are sick. I can barely bare to look at you. Get your stuff and get out.”
He threw Bobby out onto the street and vowed that he didn’t need Bobby or anyone else and viewers were horrified.
One wrote: “Ian Beale needs to go in the bin after treating Bobby like that. Terrible father.”
A second said: “Brilliant episode that was bobby and Ian stuff was so emotional.”
Another added: “I think I officially hate Ian Beale. Yeah, Bobby killed Lucy – but hes served his time. Ian just thinks about himself all the time. I cant believe Im actually saying this given his track record – but thank goodness Bobby has Max. #EastEnders.”
