EASTENDERS viewers are in hysterics after Kathy Beale kicked son Ian out of his own house after discovering he had remortgaged her cafe.
The businesswoman – who is played by actress Gillian Taylforth in the BBC soap – hit the roof after finding out Ian had committed fraud to get his hands on her cash.
Viewers know Ian is responsible for Dennis’ death and his guilt saw him buy Sharon the Queen Vic using the money Max asked him to hold from the Walford East transfer.
However over lockdown Ian moved in to help her and fell back in love with Sharon.
When she rejected him Ian tried to make her life a living hell – until she discovered his scam with Max’s money and she put a stop to it.
He had promised to pay Max back and desperate for the cash he fraudulently remortgaged his mum Kathy’s cafe.
Tonight the secret came out when Ian heard her ranting to Peter about her date Iain after he called her a “cougar with a bus pass”.
Walking in Ian exploded at Peter, ranting about him and dropping his own fraud in it – leaving both Kathy and Peter furious.
Karhy raged: “I offered to remortgage it myself to help you out. I want every penny with interest. I don’t even want to look at you right now.”
She told him to get out of the house and when Ian pointed out it was his, she hit back: “And that’s my cafe, what’s your point?”
Kathy added: “Oh if your gran could see you now, she’d be spinning in her grave – well that is if you haven’t remortgaged that too.”
She then ran back inside and started chucking Ian’s clothes out of the bedroom window leaving him humiliated on the street.
Viewers were left in hysterics at the scenes.
