EASTENDERS fans were left in hysterics last night when Stuart Highway proposed to Rainie while dressed as Dracula.
The eccentric character shocked his girlfriend when he jumped out of one of the coffins at the funeral home they work in.
Stuart [Ricky Champ] pulled out all of the stops for the bizarre proposal after being left embarrassed when Rainie [Tanya Franks] rejected his first proposal earlier this year.
He got the inspiration after brother Callum mentioned that the former drug addict isn’t one to do things by the book – somehow deciding that emerging from a casket while in full vampire costume was the only way to win her heart.
Needless to say, Rainie was horrified when she saw what Stuart had done, but she eventually said ‘yes’ after Stuart detailed how much he loves her in emotional scenes.
Viewers at home were floored by the proposal, and took to Twitter to share their reaction.
One wrote: “Stuart’s proposal was hilariously brilliant, even I’d be tempted.”
Another added: “Stuart and Rainie are literal nutcases, but somehow their relationship works. I love them.”
A third chuckled: “I’m p***ing myself, Stuart and Rainie are so chaotic I love them.”

Unfortunately for Rainie and Stuart, their engagement bliss didn’t last long when Callum pointed out that she is still technically married to ex brother-in-law Max Branning.
EastEnders previously teased that Max and Stuart will come to blows after the local Lothario refuses to sign divorce papers to allow Rainie to re-marry.
It has been said that a dark revelation will be exposed as Max gets in-between the quirky couple’s romance.
