EASTENDERS’ new mum Louise Mitchell could let slip the secret of fiance Keanu Taylor’s murder to his own mum, Karen.
In an explosive Christmas Day episode for the BBC One soap, it appeared Ben Mitchell blackmailed Martin Fowler into kidnapping and executing Keanu, played by Danny Walters, after learning the sordid truth of his affair with step-mum Sharon.
As well as being father to Louise’s premature tot Peggy, Keanu is also parent to Sharon’s unborn child in a bombshell she dropped to the entirety of the Queen Vic pub on December 25.
Yet despite Louise seeming to lure Keanu to his death with the telling comment “Never, ever take a Mitchell for a fool,” it now seems she is feeling the guilt when granny Karen comes to call.
Upcoming scenes show Tilly Keeper’s character appear increasingly jittery when Karen arrives for a visit.
This could perhaps signal she is guilty for her role in Keanu’s apparent death.
Louise later turns to her mum Lisa for support, yet it is unclear if she makes any confession to her.
Shortly prior to Keanu’s passing, stone-cold Louise managed to get Keanu into the car believing he was off on a jolly holiday to freedom.
She told him: “You’re the father of my child, I’m not having anything happen to you.”
Yet after leading him to Martin, who then drugged Keanu before filming the fatal gunshot, it appears she may not have been genuine.
On the flip side of Walford’s latest murder mystery, some fans believe Keanu isn’t dead at all – and it is in fact Louise who helped him cheat death.
If this were the case, then it could also explain her awkward behaviour towards Karen, as she knows her son is in fact alive.
To add to the BBC soap’s plot twist, a trailer for New Year’s Day promises “all will be revealed”.
The video shows the message “family means everything…” before the words, “lies, secrets, giving, taking and revenge” flash up on screen.
EastEnders is set to air an hour-long special on New Year’s Day – and by the sounds of things, it’s going to be an explosive episode, finally setting the record straight on what really happened to Keanu.
Yet it has been confirmed actors Tilly and Danny will both leave the soap in the New Year.
Danny said in a statement: “It has been a joy to play Keanu Taylor for the last two and half years.
“I have been blessed to work with the most fantastic creative team and I will miss them and my fellow actors immensely.
“EastEnders will always hold a special place in my heart and I will continue to be an avid fan.”
