EastEnders’ Maisie Smith shows off her abs and muscly thighs in ‘work in progress’ gym snap as she trains for Strictly

EASTENDERS star Maisie Smith is taking her preparation for Strictly Come Dancing seriously as she shared a snap of her gym progress.

The actress – who plays Tiffany Butcher in the popular BBC soap – recently signed up to the dance competition which is set to start this time next month on the 24th October.

The soap star showed off her incredible physique as she posed for a photo during one of her gym sessions this week

The 19-year-old has been hitting the gym to give her the best chance of getting her hands on the the glitterball trophy.

Maisie took to her Instagram Story to scare off her competition and show them how seriously she’s taking it all with a gorgeous mirror selfie that displayed her amazing figure.

The Tiffany Butcher actress opted for a light purple sports bra and some navy shorts to show off her hard rock abs and ridiculously toned thighs.

She completed the look with some white and pink trainers, hot pink over the head headphones and styled her fiery red hair into a low pony tail.

Maisie is a huge fan of working out and keeping fit

The star added a sticker over the snap that stated “work in progress”.

And it comes just one week after she showed off her toned arms at the gym ahead of Strictly debut.

Maisie is definitely the show’s dark horse this year with her dancing experience.

She has already won Strictly thanks to a cha-cha with Kevin Clifton on the Children In Need special last year and admitted she’s had training in hip hop and street.

Now the professional dancers are desperate to be her partner on the much-loved show.

Neil Jones, Aljaz Skorjanec and Giovanni Pernice are said to be all lobbying the show’s producers in a bid to be paired with her because of her exceptional talent and her ready-made fanbase from her EastEnders role.

Earlier this month Italian Giovanni dropped a major hint on Twitter by liking a tweet Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley posted, saying she is desperate for him to soon be partnered-up to dance with Maisie.

During lockdown, Maisie has been entertaining fans with her TikTok videos, which have also attracted thousands of views.

A source told HOAR: “All the male pros really want to partner with her, not just because she’s young and fit, but she’s also proven herself to be a brilliant dancer.

“She has a massive fan following, which often ensures contestants get far in the competition.”

Maisie is part of a reduced Strictly Come Dancing line-up for 2020 which also includes former labour politician Jacqui Smith, MIC star Jamie Laing, YouTube star HRVY, comedian Bill Bailey and former Royal Marine JJ Chalmers.

They will be joined by BBC Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo, boxer Nicola Adams, GMB presenter Ranvir Singh, actress Caroline Quentin, former NBA star Jason Bell and The Wanted singer Max George.

When the fiery redhead isn’t working a sweat up in the gym or training hard for the show, she’s been up to her old tricks filming hilarious TikTok videos with her look a like mum.
