EASTENDERS actors Max Bowden and Tony Clay spent three hours snogging as they filmed a Ballum scene – and almost forgot the cameras were there.

In the first look at Secrets From The Square, the stars told Stacey Dooley what it was like getting passionate during one of the soap’s most memorable moments.

Max and Tony say they spent three hours kissing in the cold

“He’s got very thick facial hair,” said Max.

“We were at it for hours in the freezing cold. We were kissing for three hours.”

Tony said: “After a while you’re thinking, will this ever end?” before Ben added: “In your head you’d got rid of everyone else and it was just us.”

Sharing the video of Max and Tony reminiscing on Twitter, an EastEnders read: It started with a kiss! And one us #Ballum fans will never forget.

The actors proudly watched back their most memorable moment on screen

“Here’s a first look at @TonyClay76 and @MaxBowden reliving a very memorable scene with @StaceyDooley, from their episode of EastEnders: Secrets From The Square. Coming very soon. #SFTS #EastEnders.”

Watching clips of themselves back, Tony added: “What makes it lovely is that it’s two boys from broken homes who are just every days lads and they found each other. It’s beautiful.”

Walford legends are taking fans behind the scenes in BBC One’s new show, Secrets Of The Square.

It will see host Stacey Dooley sit down each week in Ian Beale’s restaurant, Walford East, with two different members of the cast to reflect on their time on the show.
