EASTENDERS star Natalie Cassidy looked slimmer than ever as she was spotted shopping in Essex.

The 37-year-old actress recently lost a staggering three stone in weight.

Natalie, who is best known for playing Sonia Fowler in the BBC soap, looked incredible as she dressed casually in a black top and baggy black trousers.

With her hair tied back in a ponytail, the mum-of-two seemed focused on running her errands for the day while wearing a face mask.

Natalie turned heads earlier this year as she flaunted her weight loss in a sleek black suit at the National TV Awards.

After dropping from a size 16 to size 8, she told HOAR she feels “much more confident and comfortable”.

“I have learnt how to eat and how to be comfortable with who I am.”

She credits training for the London Marathon last year with helping her lose the extra pounds, as well as ditching unhealthy treats like cheese and crisps.

Additionally, the star decided to ditch alcohol as much as she could in a bid to lose weight.

She said: “I cut out rubbish. I cut down on alcohol too, even though I love white wine.”

Earlier this year, the actress revealed that she finally feels boy confident after years of “ups and downs”.

Speaking to the Daily Express Saturday magazine, she said: “I feel very at ease with myself now, as I’ve got older. Throughout the years I’ve gone through a lot of ups and downs.

“Now, I just know the simple things that work – eat well, exercise, drink lots of water. All the boring things but I feel like my body is the size it should be now.

“I’m 37 in May. I’ve been through a lot in my life and I feel more confident about who I am and what I look like, 100 percent.”

Discussing how tough it was finding fame at a young age, she continued:  “Growing up in the spotlight is all I know. I was called a ‘beached whale’ when I was 12. It was awful.

“I understand now why my mum was so angry and protective of me, I would be exactly the same if it was one of my daughters. But you do develop a thick skin, you have to really.”

Natalie’s latest outing comes days after she shared a moving tribute she has in her garden for her late mum, who died when she was 19.

The soap star was left devastated when her mother Evelyn lost her battle with bowel cancer in 2002 at the age of 63.

Taking to her Instagram page early this morning, the actress revealed that her brother had bought her a touching gift to remember their mum by for her 30th birthday.

The photo showed stunning flowers and green leaves growing over a block with Evelyn’s name written on it.

Natalie explained in the post’s caption: “This is our Evelyn Rose.

“My brother bought it for me for my 30th birthday. It’s 7 and a bit years old and has never looked better. My dad loves it and cares for it.

“I lost my mum when I was 19 – her name was Evelyn.”

The star wrote: “It’s nice to have something in your own space as well as a cemetery. Life is busy and you feel guilty for not going up there.”

Natalie previously admitted that she broke down over an EastEnders’ storyline about her onscreen mum Carol Jackson fighting cancer.
