EMMERDALE and EastEnders fans devastated as the soaps did not air last night.
The most recent instalments of the two soaps were postponed by ITV and BBC last night.
Fuming fans took to social media to express their anger at the soaps being cancelled in favour of FA Cup matches.
One fan raged: “Football should be on a separate channel!!”
While another wrote: “Enjoy an hour tonight girls and boys as it’s bloody football all week.”
And a third said: “The FA Cup schedule has been in place for weeks, so you would think you would have found out more then 6 hours before”.
Emmerdale will return tonight at 7pm, while EastEnders will be back on Thursday at 7.40pm.
