Later, with no plans organised for Valentine’s Day, Kush asks Whitney out on a housemate date.
As they pick up snacks at the Minute Mart, Bernie notices flirtation growing between them.
They sit down for a movie and realise the pizza is heart-shaped.
The pair get another sign their romance is written in the stars when the power cuts out.
As Whitney lights some candles, they share a kiss.
The big question is: how will Gray react?
EastEnders viewers know that Gray was left seething when he spotted Kush and Whitney flirting last week.
When Whitney mentioned she had a date with Kush that evening, Gray planted a seed of doubt in her mind and put her off going.
Gray then manipulated Whitney into staying at his for a movie night, and in a shock twist asked him to move in with her.
Whitney was unsettled by the sudden turn of events, and reminded Gray he was leaving before walking out.
EastEnders bosses have confirmed Davood Ghadami will be leaving his role as Kush as part of an “explosive” storyline set to play out into 2021.
With the BBC soap yet to confirm how Kush will be leaving the Square, could Gray be set to kill again?
