EASTENDERS’ Sharon Mitchell battles a guilty conscience as she says goodbye to her son Kayden next week as Karen Taylor moves away from Walford for good.
The grieving mother – who is played by actress Letitia Dean in the BBC soap – returned from Australia last night and appeared to have doubts over her decision to give up her son Kayden.

EastEnders fans know that Sharon made the heartbreaking decision to hand over her baby Kayden – who was fathered by Keanu Taylor during their affair – to Karen following the death of her son Dennis in the boat crash.
Viewers know the handover was engineered by scheming Ian Beale who was trying to get rid of his guilt for murdering Dennis.
Viewers then watched Sharon and Phil reunite but when he offered to buy the Queen Vic for her, she told him a pub could never replace Dennis before jetting off to Australia for a break from it all.
Having decided to give things another go with Phil, Sharon made a dramatic return last night.
But as she sifted through Dennis’s belongings, it was clear she had doubts over her decision to give up Kayden.
Next week’s episodes of EastEnders will see Sharon continue to battle her guilty conscience as Karen informs her there’s time to say goodbye to Kayden before she leaves later in the day.
Later, Billy and Lola start to worry when Sharon tells Will he’s welcome to Dennis’s belongings.
Billy steps up and tries to bring Sharon back to reality about her baby.
Sharon then goes to say her final goodbyes to Kayden.
Meanwhile, as Karen prepares to leave the Square, Keegan asks to move with her.
But when Tiffany tells him she loves him later, he feels torn.
Will Sharon let Karen and her son Kayden go?
If not, might keeping baby Kayden destroy her future with Phil?
Despite seeing the paternity test in writing, fans are convinced that Kayden will turn out to be the biological son of Phil – and not Keanu – and that the couple will be able to live happily ever after.
