The epic photo from yesteryear showed a then-21-year-old Emma sporting a curly bob which complemented her fresh-faced, youthful appearance.

The soap star sported an all black in the picture as she sat on the pavement and posed in front of a stone wall alongside her dear friend.

Captioning the over two-decade-old pic, she penned: “Summer of 1998… Beach everyday, beautiful suntans, BBQ’s & bottles of Lambrini…. & shared it with you @ejrj24 ?

“Happiest of birthdays my friend. Love ya…. ??”.

The actress first took on the role of EastEnders‘ Honey Mitchell (as a love interest for Billy Mitchell, played by Perry Fenwick) back in 2005, and stayed in the show until 2008.

She came back in 2014 on a temporary basis, but returned to the Square full time in late 2015.

Away from work, Emma relaxes by cooking and has previously appeared on Celebrity MasterChef.

In 2019, the BBC star joined Strictly Come Dancing and was partner with pro dancer Anton Du Beke.

The pair wowed audiences and made it to the final, but unfortunately missed out on nabbing the glitterball trophy to Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse.

The Strictly Come Dancing contestant was previously married to lawyer Nigel Stoat.

She and Nigel tied the knot in 2002 but they split three years later in 2005.

Emma previously dated Stephen Mulhern after they met while working on a Snow White pantomime together.

However, the two parted ways in 2011, with the Britain’s Got More Talent host revealing the romance had come to a “natural end”.
