Charlie, 27, first rose to fame on BGT in 2008 as a young stand-up comedian.

He got nods from all three judges as he performed his routine in front of Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.

Simon commented at the time: “We’ve had some rotten comedians on this show, but you’re the only one who’s made me laugh and told jokes that I could understand.”

While Amanda added that Charlie had “made her moan” with his routine.

With his three ‘yes’ votes, the teenager went through to the next round before making it to the semi-finals, where his journey on the show ended.

But since then, the talented youngster has gone from strength to strength with appearances on well-known programmes.

After enrolling at the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre school for a series of weekend classes, Charlie bagged a role in The Inbetweeners.

He played a bully who beat up Simon Cooper, one of the main characters played by Joe Thomas.

And he’s also very well known as the cheeky Mitchell in Jack Whitehall’s BBC3 series Bad Education.

He went on to be cast as Hollyoaks‘ Robbie Roscoe from 2013 to 2016.
