EASTENDERS fans are convinced Grant Mitchell is making a comeback after making a shock cameo in last night’s episode.

The hardman – who is played by actor Ross Kemp in the BBC soap – was heard by his brother Phil who is facing life in prison unless he agrees to become a police informant.

Fans were stunned to hear Grand and Peggy’s voices
Phil listened to the voices of his family as he struggled with his police drama

In last night’s episode Phil opened up about the informant deal to ex Sharon after she realised something was wrong.

She tried to convince him to take the deal and talk to Kat – but he refused and doubled down on breaking up with Kat.

But as Phil sat in the Square, he turned to look at the Vic and heard the voice of his late mum.

“Phil you’ve gotta get out there and defend what’s yours,” Peggy said.

“You’re surrounded by people who love you so just try to love yourself.”

The voice of his brother Grant then said: “You should’ve come to me and I’d have kicked some sense into you and made you feel a bit better.”

As he listened to the voices of his family, he was snapped out of it by the voice of Sharon.

“You’re ready to lose everything that matters to you over some old principle that doesn’t mean anything,” she said.

“You have got two generations relying on you – they need you. Take the deal.

“It’s always your stupid pride, isn’t it? You won’t take the deal because you can’t bear the thought of the old bill winning. Well don’t worry because when you’re alone in your cold cell knowing you’ve lost everything you’ll have your pride to comfort you.

“If you don’t listen to me then maybe you’ll listen to Kat.

“You really think I’m going to stand by and let you throw your life away. You tell Kat or I will.”

But fans are now convinced Grant’s words mean he’s coming back.

He was last seen in 2016 when he discovered he had a son – Mark Jr.

One wrote: “Grant should come back while Phil’s inside.”

A second said: “Was amazing hearing Peggy and grants voices in tonight’s episode of EastEnders #EastEnders this should be a good time to bring grant back but Sharon telling him what’s going on.”

Another added: “That Peggy voiceover has reminded me how much I miss the Mitchell women, they’d actually smack him up one as he deserves.”
