EMMERDALE bosses have cast The Bill star Ren Zaggeras a dangerous new casino boss.
Rene, 46, will play formidable force Terry who is out to get serial schemer Mandy Dingle for card-counting in his establishments.
The new bad boy is best known for playing The Bill’s PC Nick Klein – who appeared in more than 200 episodes of the long-running police drama before bowing out in 2004.
He was at the centre of some dramatic storylines, including drug addiction and witnessing a murder that sent him deep into Witness Protection.
He’s also had roles on British telly staples such as Silent Witness, Doctors, Holby City and Casualty.
Now he’ll play no nonsense casino boss Terry who shows up on Mandy’s doorstep chasing the money she owes him.
Aware she’s been conning him, Terry threatens to do some damage unless she quickly coughs up the cash.
The week begun with Mandy and Vinny scrambling to sort out Terry’s money.
Desperate to come up with the cash, the pairtry to hack into Lydias bank account but are caught out by Lydia whos played by Karen Blick in the ITV soap.
As Mandy tries to explain their actions a furious Sam calls Dingle court. But while theyre awaiting their trial, Mandy and Vinny decide to make a run for it.
They nick the Dingle van, but it soon breaks down leaving them having to hide out in the woods.
Theyre soon caught though and are dragged back to Wishing Well.
As Dingle court begins, Mandys quick to point out the hypocrisy given what happened with Aaron.
But she soon agrees to tell the Dingles the truth and reveals that she and Vinny were recently running a casino card counting scam in a number of establishments run by Terry.
In a shock twist, its revealed that Charity was involved too.
As the Dingles head off to deliberate, Mandy is confident that the court will find in their favour, but Vinny is scared that their other secret might be revealed.
Thats soon the last of their worries thought when Terry turns up on their doorstep and theyre left worried about their lives.
Will the rest of the Dingles step up in their hour of need? And whats this other secret that theyre hiding?
