EMMERDALE fans are in tears after Cain Dingle finally told Moira Barton he still loved her – and they reunited after almost two years apart.
The village hardman – who is played by actor Jeff Hordley in the ITV soap – realised he would lose Moira forever if he didn’t confess how he really felt.
The pair were locked in a barn together by Mackenzie Boyd in an effort to stop Cain from murdering Jamie Tate.
Moira decided to try and apologise to Cain one final time in an effort to save their marriage after she was seduced by his son Nate.
But as much as she tried, Cain at first refused to admit that he loved her – forcing her to realise that she couldn’t stay in the village.
Instead she decided that she couldn’t continue to live in the village seeing Cain move on, and so told him she would leave as soon as possible.
“I can’t live here if there’s no hope for us,” she told him.
“It’ll be better like this, don’t worry I won’t move too far away. Suppose you meet someone else – I won’t be able to handle that Cain.”
However the thought of losing Moira for good pushed Cain to realise what he really wanted.
And while Moira was back working in the top field, he appeared while she was in her tractor and told her exactly how he felt.
“Of course I love you woman,” he said as Moira broke into a beaming smile.
Fans were left in tears at the scenes.
