EMMERDALE fans have called on ITV soap bosses to bring back Joe Tate after his brother Noah Dingle was left fighting for his life.
Noah was found unconscious in the woods after collapsing following his drug use; doctors later told his mother Charity that he had kidney damage and hypothermia and he may not survive.
Fans however, took to Twitter to question whether his half-brother Joe would return to the dales to save the day.
Joe, played by actor Ned Porteous, left the soap earlier in 2019 but fans have long hoped he would return.
One demanded: “Bring Joe back to save Noah.”
Others sent tweets to show bosses which read: “You gonna bring Joe back to give Noah a new kidney??”
Joe returned to the soap in March five months after he had been presumed murdered with Cain Dingle believing he had killed him.
Viewers later saw Joe alive and well in Monte Carlo, after it emerged he survived Cain’s assault and Graham Foster helped him flee abroad and fake his own death to save him from stepmum Kim Tates wrath.
However, with Noah’s life-threatening injuries and the imminent death of Graham – who will be murdered in a dramatic whodunnit – fans are sure Joe will make a comeback.
HOAR Online exclusively revealed how Graham would be murdered and that there will be multiple suspects in the story that is set to run long into 2020.
A source said: “Bosses know Graham is one of the show’s most popular characters so it’s not a decision that’s been taken lightly.
“They wanted to give him the ultimate send-off and what better way than a grisly murder?
“It’s going to kick off a massive new year for the soap with the Tates firmly at the forefront where they belong.”
