EMMERDALE fans were left shocked tonight after Leyla Cavanagh found out she was pregnant with husband Liam’s child – and the timing is tragic.
The wedding planner – played by Roxy Shahidi in the ITV soap – had an inkling she was expecting, so decided to take a test.
Leyla, who is already mum to Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), has recently been trying to help Liam grieve over his daughter Leanna (Mimi Slinger).
Last month evil nurse Meena Jutla (Paige Sandu) murdered Leanna to stop her from telling the police about all the other people she has killed.
Since then Leyla has tried to support Liam as he comes to terms with his loss.
However he’s not made it easy for her, and tonight things were made worse when he walked in on Leyla using Leanne as a way to try and convince Jacob to go back to college.
Liam was left fuming over her words, but had no idea that Leyla has other things on her mind.
After their argument Leyla sits on a bench in the village and takes a pregnancy test out of her bag.

She waited for the results in the salon by herself and was left shocked when it confirms that she’s pregnant.
Fans of the hit show couldn’t believe the timing of her news, considering Leanne only died last month.
One wrote on Twitter: “Oh boy. Liam has just buried his beloved daughter and #Emmerdale decide it’s a good time for Leyla to give Liam pregnancy news.

Another said: “OMG Leyla’s pregnant ,seriously? How’s Liam gonna react so soon after losing poor Leanna?”
