How does Mandy discover ‘Alex’ is actually Paul in Emmerdale?
Emmerdale fans know that Vinny has been waxing lyrical about his new work friend ‘Alex’ – who’s actually his dad Paul in disguise – to his mum Mandy.
Episodes of Emmerdale set to air later this week will see Lydia grow suspicious that Vinny’s new friend ‘Alex’ is a girlfriend.
It’s not long before nosy Mandy gets suspicious too and looks ‘Alex’ up on social media.
Next week’s episodes of Emmerdale will see Mandy duck behind a tree as she spots Paul – masquerading as ‘Alex’ – chatting to Vinny.
How does Mandy react to Paul’s antics in Emmerdale?
It’s safe to say Mandy doesn’t react well to Paul’s meddling.
She sets up a meeting with Paul from Vinny’s phone and challenges him in a dramatic showdown the next day, ordering him to leave the village.
Mandy explains how devastated Vinny would be if they discovered they’d both been lying to him, but Paul refuses to listen.
Does Mandy manage to hide the truth from Vinny in Emmerdale?
It all kicks off when Paul storms into the Dingles demanding to talk to Mandy later in the week, but is lost for words when Vinny stumbles upon the scene.
Mandy does her best to cover and come up with an excuse for why ‘Alex’ is there.
But Paul can’t hold his tongue and reveals he’s Vinny’s dad – much to Mandy’s dismay.
Vinny is devastated by the shock bombshell and storms out, leaving the Dingles searching for him.
Bradley Johnson – who plays Vinny – has hinted how the truth will test his relationship with Mandy.
He told Digital Spy: “I feel like it would upset Vinny, because things are finally going well for him. He’s finally got a purpose and a place where he feels happy.
“If anything disturbs that, he’s going to lose his cool a little bit. He’d want answers over what happened all those years ago.
“There’s so much of Vinny’s past that the audience don’t know. I think he’d be annoyed that he’s been lied to by Mandy.”
