EMMERDALE fans were left reeling tonight when Dr Liam Cavanagh cheated on Bernice Blackstock by snogging Leyla Harding in the salon.
The pair have been flirting ever since they shared a stage kiss in the local panto but tonight it happened for real.
Liam and Leyla shared a passionate snog
Liam roped Leyla into helping out with a children’s party after savagely hungover pair Mandy and Kerry failed to show up for work.
Determined that Bernie’s business didn’t take a knock, he pretended to be an expert in manicures and rainbow unicorn hair braiding.
He lied: “I’m Bernie, as in Beauty and Bernie… I’m the actual owner and I’m here to tell you we are the reinforcements.”
Turning to Leyla, he said: “I cannot let those workshy clowns ruin Bernice’s hard-earned reputation. Please, help me.”
It started with a peck on the cheek
The pair wound up flirting as they rescued the party together
She replied sarcastically: “”Yeah sure, anything for Bernice.”
However, she ends up impressed when Liam turned the party into a triumph, with the mum telling Leyla: “If he’s single feel free to pass on my number.”
She snaps: “He’s taken – in fact he’s engaged” before closing the door on her.
But once the kids have all left, she puts a rainbow hair clip onto his head and starts flirting with him.
Liam told Leyla: “You have been brilliant.”
She replied: “Yeah, well I’m a wedding planner. It comes as standard with with whereas you on the other hand…”
He replied: “Thank you” – before kissing her on the cheeky.
But that quickly turned into a snog, with her clasping the side of his head in a lingering embrace.
Shocked by tonight’s events, one fan said: “God everyones getting off with each other in #Emmerdale tonight.”
Another wrote: “Leyla really needs to calm down.”
Liam was heartbroken back in November when his fiance Bernice marched out of the Dales and away to Australia.
She told him the wedding was on hold because she had to take daughter Dee Dee to her critically injured dad Charlie – Bernice’s third husband.
