Emmerdale actor Dominic Brunt has spoken out about his character’s parenting mistake.

Discussing the dramatic storyline, Dominic told Digital Spy: “”All Paddy can think of is getting Marlon to the hospital. He drags him inside and tells Marlon that he won’t be leaving his side – he’s with him all the way.

“It’s only later that Paddy remembers that Eve was in the car, he left the door open and it’s the middle of winter.

“Paddy’s reaction is just blind panic. He just runs straight out and hopes to find his daughter. He hopes he’s going to find her there and get her warm again, but he gets to the car and she’s not there.

“Rhona’s there and Paddy panics saying: ‘She’s been taken, she’s been taken’. He starts grabbing people, asking whether they’ve seen anyone with a child.

“I think as a parent that must be one of the worst things ever. He just absolutely thinks someone has picked Eve up, taken her and she’s gone.”
