EMMERDALE’S Cain Dingle and Moira Barton will grow closer next week as she’s left devastated by business partner Rhona Goskirk’s betrayal.
The mechanic and the farmer – who are played by actors Jeff Hordley and Natalie J Robb in the ITV soap – split last year after Moira had an affair with his secret son Nate Robinson.
They have been bitterly estranged ever since but recently the frost has thawed and Cain has admitted he still loves Moira.
She was left fighting for her life in a hit and run and he thought she was unconscious in her hospital bed when he finally plucked up the courage to tell her.
Moira waited until he left the room before opening her eyes and breaking into a huge grin, realising what he had said.
Now next week things will progress even more as the former couple get closer to a reconciliation.
However, as they are getting closer – the moment is interrupted by her son Matty who arrives to visit.
Blunderous Matty then accidentally sends his mum’s stress levels soaring as he lets slip about Rhona’s betrayal.
Vet Rhona bought into the farm to help financially struggling Moira and to give herself a new challenge.
She set up a meeting with a new client – a chain of restaurants – but Moira insisted they couldn’t cope with the order size required.
Not put off Rhona decided to team up with neighbouring farmer Nate to win the contract and secure the farm’s financial future.
Discovering what Rhona has done, Moira feels betrayed and wants revenge.
But before she can put her plans into action Cain suggests another approach – and it’s clear they’re yet closer still.
