GABBY Thomas turns to alcohol next week in Emmerdale after her family snubs her from a holiday.
The teenager has been wallowing in her misery ever since the sudden departure of her mum Bernice at the end of last year.

Bernice left Emmerdale village after her other daughter Dee Dee’s dad Charlie was badly injured in an accident.
Gabby was devastated when Bernice cut all ties with the village and sold her salon – and has been acting out ever since.
The plot thickened when Leyla discovered that Gabby was the mystery person who’d been stalking and terrorising her for months.
But the wedding planner took a sympathetic stance and decided to befriend Gabby, who admitted she was struggling without Bernice, and offered her an apprenticeship at Take a Vow.
But episodes of the soap set to air this week will see Gabby receive another blow when Jai arranges a holiday for him and Laurel – and forgets to invite Gabby.
Gabby will also be rejected by her new friend Leyla, who ditches her for a dinner with Liam.
Next week’s episodes of Emmerdale will see Gabby return worse for wear after a big night out.
When Laurel spots her sneaking in, she’s not too happy about the situation and starts having a go at the teen.
Leyla steps in and tries to defend Gabby – but will she regret her actions?
Might a jealous Gabby, who blames Leyla for her mum’s departure, end up lashing out at Leyla yet again?
Speaking about Leyla’s sympathetic reaction to discovering Gabby had been stalking her, actress Roxy Shahidi told the Radio Times: “Leyla can be very empathetic, forgiving and understanding, but equally she will stick up for herself and won’t be walked all over.”
Talking about the hurt Gabby caused her character, Roxy added: “After the incident in the office she tells Liam she’s scared someone is going to stab her in her own bed.
“Literally using those words, because every part of her world is being invaded. It’s terrifying and very real to have someone in your space like that.
“Leyla doesn’t just cower in the corner though, she throws something at them, but she’s definitely very scared. Being broken into and someone hiding in the dark is the climax of all the scary events.”
