Malone warned Moira not to spill the beans after she discovered his secret affair with Harriet.
But shortly after witnessing the sinister visit, Cain got a call saying Moira had been the victim of a hit and run – leaving him convinced that Malone was responsible.
Next week’s episodes of Emmerdale will see Harriet panic as Cain vows to get revenge on DI Malone for almost murdering Moira.
Harriet insists that Malone had nothing to do with the hit and run, and begs him not to do anything hasty.
Later, Harriet is shocked out of her skin when Malone admits he won’t let her marry Will because he’s still in love with her.
Malone then urges Harriet to dump Will and run away with him to start a new life together.
Harriet is left reeling from Malone’s shock bombshell, and torn over what to do.
Meanwhile, it all kicks off as Malone sneaks into the garage and plants a huge bag of drugs in the glove compartment.Â
But his evil plan is foiled when Will sneaks in and catches him.
Disaster strikes as a furious showdown ensues between the pair.Â
Emmerdale have teased that in the aftermath of the fight, viewers will see a lifeless body slumped on the floor.
Last month, the soap revealed viewers would see a shocking murder “soon” after boss John Whiston accidentally revealed the news during a live television interview.
The ITV head of continuing drama was speaking on Sky News when he let slip about the storyline: “In terms of all of the normal stuff that goes on in soaps people kissing each other or murdering each other, we’ll have to socially distance murders I think.
“And we did actually have one coming up in Emmerdale quite soon.”
Will the murdered victim be DI Malone?
With Emmerdale fans convinced that Harriet will end up murdered by one of her badboy lovers, might she find herself involved in the fight?
Or will Cain burst in on the scene as he tries to get revenge on Malone – and end up murdered?
