MANDY Dingle confesses a 15 year old family secret to her son Vinny Dingle during coronavirus lockdown next week in Emmerdale.
Vinny – who is played by Bradley Johnson on the ITV soap – has just discovered Mandy has been lying to him about his past for years.

Emmerdale fans know that Vinny recently got the shock of his life when he discovered that his new mate ‘Alex’ at the scrapyard was actually his estranged father Paul Ashdale after he walked in on him arguing with Mandy.
Furious with the pair of them for lying to him, Vinny stormed out and left the Dingles frantically searching for him.
But luckily for Mandy, lockdown is set to give her the chance to explain herself and reconnect with Vinny in upcoming scenes.
Next week’s episodes of Emmerdale will see Mandy and Vinny spend their days in the salon as they entertain themselves with an endless supply of beauty products, a microwave and a karaoke machine.
Mandy is gutted when she can’t find a key to Leyla’s prosecco fridge, but she makes do with the beers.
She then seizes the opportunity to talk about Vinny’s estranged father Paul and explain why she lied to Vinny about his past.
When Mandy opens up about a secret she’s been keeping for 15 years – and that has affected her whole life – Vinny feels like everything suddenly starts falling into place.
But what’s the big secret?
Lisa Riley – who plays Mandy Dingle on the ITV soap – said of Mandy’s revelation: “I absolutely love the story we are telling in this episode as Mandy has a 15 year old secret that is the big “bomb” of the episode.”
“She has been sitting on this for so long and things will suddenly make so much sense.”
Talking about why Mandy is trying to keep Vinny away from his dad Paul, Lisa said: “Mandy is petrified of getting hurt again.
“Paul Ashdale has just set off the memories again of her pain and anguish.
“Mandy is walking on eggshells regarding him as she’s been so hurt and it has damaged her.
“So now with Vinny bringing him back into their lives she is very wary.”
Asked why Mandy and Vinny are in the salon for lockdown, Lisa added: “Mandy is such a busybody she will have seen everyone so probably could be a superspreader so best to lock her down away from the others.”
