Emmerdale viewers cheer as Leyla slaps Leanna for calling her a ‘dried up old skank’

EMMERDALE viewers cheered as Leyla Harding slapped Leanna Cavanagh for calling her a “dried up old skank”.

Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) accused Leanna (Mimi Slinger) of trashing her shop in an explosive confrontation in Friday’s episode of the ITV soap.

Earlier on, viewers saw a mystery vandal break into Leyla’s office and trash her wedding pitch to some potential clients.

They cut up the flowers, smeared the wedding cake everywhere and ruined Leyla’s seating plan for the big day.

Leyla was left horrified when she led the couple into the shop to present her pitch, only to discover the carnage.

As Leanna had been struggling to accept Leyla’s relationship with Liam, Leyla assumed she was behind the devastation.

Leanna insisted she didn’t touch Leyla’s “crummy business”

She confronted Leanna outside her shop in a rage, demanding: “Oi! Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t call the police, you vindictive little cow. You’ve trashed my business.”

Leanna said: “What are you talking about? Have you lost it? I’ve not gone anywhere near your crummy business!”

Leyla shot back: “I’m done being nice. You are a little sociopath. I’m not scared of you – you’re a child.”

Leanna fumed: “Yeah, and the only thing you know about children is how to abandon them… What was it? You got pregnant with your sister’s fella. Classy.”

A dumbfounded Leyla muttered, “You don’t know anything about it.”

Leanna replied: “I know everything about you Leyla. The only thing I didn’t know was how desperate my dad was – but he must have been to get with some ancient dried up old skank who’s had her bargain bin nails nails into every man in this village and yet still ended up a pathetic old slapper.”

A furious Leyla then slapped Leanna hard around the face, before stepping back, looking shocked.

 

Clutching her cheek with one hand, the schoolgirl yelled: “When my dad finds out about this you are so finished!”

Viewers were firmly on Leyla’s side, flocking to social media to applaud the slap.

One wrote: “She delivered that slap, should have done the other side too.”

Another added, “What a slap that was,” alongside several clapping emojis.

A third penned: “Actually I’m on Leyla’s side. Leanna deserved that slap big time.”
