EMMERDALE viewers have branded the current storyline involving Cain Dingle, Billy Fletcher and corrupt copper DI Malone as ‘pathetic’ and ‘far-fetched’ after Will Taylor was left for dead on tonight’s episode.

Viewers watched as Cain and Billy narrowly escaped being arrested by the crooked police chef following a lengthy search of their car for drugs.

Emmerdale fans have branded the current storyline involving Cain Dingle, Billy Fletcher and corrupt copper DI Malone as ‘pathetic’

Fans of the ITV soap have watched in recent weeks as the trio have been forced into Malone’s Line of Duty-style corrupt cop organisation along with Will Taylor but are refusing to follow his orders.

This led the dodgy detective to use them as bait to distract police from the real drug operation that Will was dragged into and on tonight’s instalment was left fuming when the drugs weren’t found in Cain’s car.

Meeting Will in a carpark, DI Malone insisted on driving him home – but home wasn’t where they were going as the dodgy cop stopped in the middle of nowhere, blaming Will for Cain and Billy knowing to hide the drugs.

Feeling vengeful, the corrupt cop kicked Will – despite proclaiming his innocence – out of his car to the hands of a gang, who left him for dead.

“#Emmerdale getting sick of bent copper story, WHY? do they drag these stories out for sooooo loooooooooooong?” another penned.

A third wrote: “This bent copper storyline is boring as hell 😴😴😴 #Emmerdale”.

“Ughhh this is doing my head in!!” another shared. “This bent copper storyline just got to stop, don’t know how much more of it I can take/ watch!😏#emmerdale”.

Another angered viewer shared: “Sorry but the whole Malone story is too far fetched for me. A detective inspector who never does any actual police work has his own drug smuggling empire.”

“#Emmerdale this storyline is pathetic and totally not needed please end it soon or viewers will be switching off – I’m bored with it yet another bent copper – COME ON WRITERS do something more unique,” a fed-up fan wrote.
