EMMERDALE’S Lisa Riley got her first ever tattoo at age 45 – after she “chickening out” at the parlour in the past.
The actress – who plays Mandy Dingle on the ITV soap – braved the pain to get a design inked on her foot.
Beaming from ear to ear, Lisa shared a pic of her alongside the tattoo artist from Red Tattoo and Piercing parlour in Leeds.
In a second snap, Lisa propped her foot up on a table while the artist got to work inking the design.
Lisa, who first appeared in Emmerdale in 1995, opted for the tattoo to be done on the right arch of her foot.
The soap star wrote: “I DID IT!!!
“Today after five years of putting it off. I had my FIRST TATTOO done… by the superbly talented @gerktattoos @redtattooleeds she’s UNBELIEVABLE.
“A gorgeous person, crazy brilliant, when someone’s talented and lovely. I knew I was in safe hands.”
Lisa continued: “The tattoo looks fantastic, everything I imagined and so much more. THANK YOU.”
She said at the time: “I have been to the tattoo parlour three times and chickened out.
“I do want one on my foot and I will probably get it one day, but the idea of it being forever freaks me out ever so slightly.”
Lisa’s co-stars were quick to comment including Michelle Hardwick, who played Vanessa Woodfield said: “Yes Lisa!!! I’m so tempted to get one!”
MANDY’S DRAMA
Lisa’s character Mandy has been at the centre of recent drama in the Dales after sharing a kiss with Jimmy.
ITV fans were heartbroken for Nicola King after she ended her marriage to Jimmy after discovering he cheated with Mandy.
The cafe owner – who is played by actress Nicola Wheeler in the ITV soap – was left heartbroken when Jimmy finally admitted he had kissed Mandy during the trial.
Viewers were heartbroken for her and took to social media to share their disappointment for the couple.
One wrote: “Nicola is right. Jimmy let the guilt take over…it looks like Jimmy and Nicola are really over now.”
A second said: “Poor Nicola! Jimmy and Nicola are over. It’s about time! #emmerdale”
Another added: “I mean how did Jimmy think Nicola would react? That she’d be grateful for his confession?! He doesn’t know her at all. #emmerdale”
