EMMERDALE’S Victoria Sugden returned to the village tonight and finally told Luke Posner that she’s in love with him.

The chef – who is played by actress Isabel Hodgins in the ITV soap – has been away burying her grandmother Annie Sugden.

Victoria told Luke she loved him on tonight’s trip to Emmerdale

And tonight she returned with a bang – and told Luke how she really felt about him.

“I should’ve called you something first but no I just steamed in and snogged your face off,” she said.

“It was the funeral. I was standing there staring at my gran’s coffin and I could just hear her voice in my head telling me to stop faffing about and get on with it.

“She would have told you how she felt straight away.

“When we got together, we were great but it was just too soon and I wasn’t ready.

“But I’m ready now and I still really like you – like loads. So can we just forget about everything, but maybe not forget but put it in the past and start again please?”

After a brief deliberation, Luke said he liked her too and wanted to give things another go.

But Victoria had another bomb to drop – she’s in love.

She said: “When I was at the funeral I just wanted you to be there holding my hand.

“I’ve made my mind up, I’m never going to not say what I’m thinking when I think it so please don’t freak out.

“I don’t just like you, it’s love. I love you Luke.”

“I love you too,” Luke replied and viewers were overjoyed for the couple.

However, actor Max Parker has exclusively told HOAR Online that it won’t be an immediate happy ending.

He said: “It’s never plain sailing with Victoria and Luke, but I’m enjoying our little double act at the minute so we will have to wait and see.”

Max has been nominated for the Best Newcomer gong at this year’s Inside Soap Awards. Vote here.
