CORONATION Street’s Asha and Nina discover evidence linking Corey Brent to Seb’s murder next week.
Here’s the lowdown on next week from the ITV soap…
1. David battles a guilty conscience
Viewers know that the Platt’s sinkhole ripped open in recent scenes and swallowed up multiple residents on the cobbles.
Next week, Leo breaks the news to David that, had they had the sinkhole repaired sooner, the disastrous events of the previous evening would never have happened.
David is crushed by this and made to feel even worse when the angry residents confront him over the disaster.
2. There’s more sinkhole drama
The sinkhole is the least of David’s worries when more tragedy hits the street.
What’s going on?
3. Asha and Nina discover evidence against Corey
Next week Asha spots a man called Stu wearing a Weatherfield County Backpack – which looks exactly like the bag Corey disposed of on the night of the attack – and confronts him.
When Stu reveals he found it in the Rovers, Asha is sure it is Corey’s from the night of the attack and tries to chase him but he gets away.
Asha and Nina decide to track down Stu, aware that it could be their only chance to prove Corey is guilty.
Will they succeed or could they put themselves in more danger?
4. Ryan makes a shocking discovery
Next week viewers will see Zeedan taking the opportunity to launder some of Hasim’s cash through the Speed Daal till.
Hashim meets up with Zeedan in the ginnel and, handing him another bag of cash, tells him he’s got another month to push it through the books.
Zeedan’s heart sinks as he realises what a difficult task he has ahead of him.
Later in the week, Alya offers Ryan some shifts at Speed Daal after his DJ equipment is destroyed in a storm.
As Zeedan launders Hashim’s cash through the till, Alya remains oblivious.
However, when Ryan approaches for his shift he spots Zeedan in the middle of a heated row with Hashim.
When Ryan later questions Zeedan, he refuses to open up and leaves Ryan suspicious.
5. Curtis suffers heartbreaking illness side effect
When Curtis reveals he has agreed to do another shift at the hospital that evening, Emma worries that he’s taking on too much.
When he returns home, Curtis is horrified when a clump of his hair falls out.
Curtis explains to Emma that it’s another side effect of his illness.
When Emma confides in Steve about how worried she is about Curtis, she asks him whether he’d lend her the money from Oliver’s fund to allow him to see a private consultant.
Steve gently explains that he can’t release Oliver’s funds for Curtis as people handed over their money for charity – and that it would be illegal.
