Mick lost it in the Queen Vic tonight when his abuser was mentioned

Has Mick left EastEnders?

Last night’s episode of EastEnders (November 12) saw Tina ask Ian to give Mick a shift behind the bar in the hope that it’d get him back on his feet.

But her plan went disastrously wrong when Shirley and Tina rocked up during his shift.

When Katy was mentioned, Mick lost it and knocked over a bottle of vodka in front of a furious Ian, who then revealed he’d only given Mick the job thanks to Tina.

Tina and Mick had a heart to heart and Mick said being in the Vic reminded him of what he’d lost.

He said he was leaving to go and spend a few days with his son Lee to clear his head.

Could this be it for Mick?

Fans will be relieved to hear that there’s no word from EastEnders or actor Danny Dyer about his exit yet.

So fans will have to tune in for more details.

Mick’s care worker Katy abused him when he was just 12

What happened to Mick in EastEnders?

As viewers will of course know, the soap has kicked off a horrifying child sexual abuse storyline after it was revealed Mick was abused by his care worker Katy Lewis as a child.

Viewers quickly realised that something wasn’t right when Mick’s estranged daughter Frankie arrived in the Square earlier this year.

A horrified Frankie then tried to get Mick to see the truth about the abuse her mother inflicted upon him after learning he was only 12 when he fathered her.

The BBC soap has worked with SurvivorsUK and the NSPCCA on the abuse storyline to make sure Mick’s storyline is as accurate as possible.

Jon Sen, the soap’s Executive Producer, revealed: “Viewers have always been aware that Mick spent many years in care, which has been the cause of his fractured relationship with Shirley but now the audience will discover just why Mick’s childhood has been so traumatic.

“This storyline will see Mick having to confront the demons of his past, something he has desperately tried to avoid for many years and face up to the realisation that he experienced abuse whilst he was in care.

“Our work with SurvivorsUK and NSPCC has been vital in informing and grounding Mick’s story very much in reality.”

He added: “We hope this storyline will help to challenge the perceptions, the stigma and the shame – particularly experienced by male survivors.”

Katy told Mick he’d imagined the abuse and that it never happened

Is Mick Frankie’s father in EastEnders?

Viewers were disgusted when Mick’s former abuser Katy rocked up in Walford earlier this week and manipulated Mick into thinking he’d imagined the abuse.

Mick was shocked when Katy told him that Frankie wasn’t his daughter, but seemed to take her word for it.

So it’s not yet clear whether Mick is Frankie’s father.

But EastEnders fans are convinced Katy is lying – and want Mick to take a DNA test to see if Frankie is his daughter and prove the abuse.
